Fryvolous and Remarkable Man win Grp 1 stakes
4/5/2009

Fryvolous wins the Kahayla Classic in Dubai

International connections abound in this outstanding young son of Dormane.  Bred and foaled in France (2003) the cross of Dormane x Fryga x Wielki Raz (USA) by well known Arabian race horse breeder, Dianne Waldron of Rosebrook Farm Florida; Fryvolous has shown his ability on two continents.

After coming into the United States as a young horse he was successfully campaigned in the US by well known trainer Phil Saxer, Jr.    His 2 years of racing in the United States earned him the statistics of 2/14(6-2-2)2-1 with earnings of $119,354.

After purchase by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in late 2007 he continued his career in the United Arab Emirates.  His most recent victory in the Group 1 Kahayla Classic in Dubai on the night of the Dubai World Cup races brings his UAE record to 3/11(6-1-0) 3  with earnings of $248,510.08 Eu.   Two previous Group 1 wins were sprints while his 2000 m win in the classic showed his talent for both sprint and route racing.

Remarkable Man wins the UAE Group 1 Emirates Championship

Days before the Kahayla Classic in Dubai, the USA bred and raced, stakes winning son of Chndaka (bred by Mandolynn Hill Farm, Texas,) stepped up to win the 2200 m turf group 1 Emirates Championship on the last night of racing in Abu Dhabi.
After three impressive outs without a win this young 5 year old colt showed his mettle by holding off a strong field of older horses on the turf course.  It appears that the longer distances suit this young horse. This remarkable young colt now has graded stakes wins on 2 continents as well.

Bought in September of 2008 by Shadwell Estate, LLC (HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum) of the UAE and trained by Mr. Erwin Charpy – UAE, Remarkable Man appears to be on a successful transition to racing on another continent.  Remarkable Man’s UAE record is 1-4(1-0-0)1   USA record 2-8(4-0-1)2-1
The USA connections of these two outstanding Arabian race horses epitomize the U.S. Arabian race horse breeding and racing program is a caliber that produces horses with the talent and bloodlines to excel in all countries.
