2010 AJC Special Achievement Award

Those in consideration for the AJC Special Achievement Award are contemporary individuals, families, farms, organizations, entities or horses who made a significant impact on the racing industry without regard to the number of years of involvement.

This year's award recognizes the Arabian Finish Line Magazine.

  Vol 1 # 1    March 1989     Finish Line - Arabian  Racing News Right Out of the Gate was hand typed and totaled 12 pages.  The startup editors/publishers;  Daryle & Catherine Duncan and  Jack & Jean Streeter

Fast Forward today -  Arabian Finish Line - Arabian Racing's Foremost
 Publication, owner/editor/publishers  Donald & Bobbi  Patscheider.

Arabian race horse magazines have come and gone over the years. The Duncan's moved to the middle east to pursue business interests and with the passing of our friend Jean Streeter,  Bobbi and Donald Patscheider took over the "reins"  January of 1997 and have brilliantly guided this publication with their knowledge, integrity and love for our breed and our sport.     

This monthly magazine, dedicated solely to Arabian flat horse racing, expanded (under their stewardship) to include an annual Farm and Stallion Guide and has become an integral part of our industry. 

It is my privilege to present the  2010 AJC Special Achievement Award to my long time friends and their magazine, the Arabian Finish Line - Arabian Racing's Foremost Publication.     presenter - Kathy Smoke AJC President
