There will be 2 overnight races offered per week from mid-May to early October. The overnights will average $13,000 from claiming races up to various conditioned allowance races including maiden special weights.
There will be 4 stakes races run in 2015. The Cre Run Arabian Oaks (G2) and the Bob Magness Arabian Derby (G2) for 3- and 4-year olds and the Delaware Park Arabian Classic H. (G1) and the Buzz Brauninger Arabian Distaff H. (G1) for older horses.
What this means is that every white type race will carry the purse equivalent to an overnight stakes race. It gives horsemen a chance to race for more money as well as to run a high quality meet. Stalls on the backside are free. Our responsibility is to have our Arabians ready to go when the meet begins and to fill the gate in every race. Make your plans now and be ready to run in May!
