Dear members of the Arabian Racing Community:
I would like to thank everyone who has reached out and shared their best wishes during my recovery. With the recovery being more intense and taking longer than hoped, I have asked Jonathan Horowitz to serve as Acting Director of the Arabian Jockey Club until further notice. I will keep you posted periodically on my progress and hope to be making steady progress soon.
Most of you already know and work with Jonathan, and he will be the point of contact for issues involving the Arabian Jockey Club. I will advise Jonathan, as will Kathy Smoke. His phone number is (949) 246-7075, and his email address is jjhorowitz@gmail.com.
One of the first things Jonathan will be doing is coordinating with owners and trainers about which horses are planning to run in the UAE President Cup at the Preakness. We look forward to another great race on one of horse racing’s biggest stages, and we also send best wishes for this week’s Darley Awards and Darley stakes races.
