Ken and Valerie Danyluk
Texas
Ken Danyluk has been training Arabian racehorses since 1989. He started racing in Canada with his own homebreds, primarily of Polish/Crabbet breeding.
He is a former member of the Alberta Arabian Racing Association. In the early 1990's, Alberta had in excess of 150 Arabians running. However, Ken's success motivated him to try running his horses in the USA, where his KD Arabians excelled. In 1995 Ken relocated to Texas, which offered year-round Arabian racing at that time.
His dedication to Arabian racing prompted Ken to become a board member for the Texas Arabian Breeders Association, and he continues to serve to this day. For several years he has enjoyed summers in Colorado at the Arapahoe Park meet, where he was leading Arabian trainer in 2012.
As Arabian racing in the US developed, Ken has raced in multiple states from coast to coast. Ken continues to raise a foal or two each year and trains his own and clients' horses. He has a reputation for developing horses that run competitively for many years, some even into their teens. Both Ken's own horses and his clients' horses have earned Darley nominations and awards.
Valerie Lynn Danyluk was racing her own homebreds and very active with Colorado Owners and Breeders of Racing Arabians when she met Ken. She has coordinated various educational and promotional events in Colorado to introduce people to Arabian racing. A lifelong fan of horse racing, Valerie loves to encourage new people to become involved with the sport.
She and Ken share a passion for classic Arabian bloodlines and are grateful for the opportunity to help promote Arabian racing through managing racing partnerships.
