Arabian Racing has lost an icon. Pat Buckley was one of the founding members of Arabian racing in the United Arab Emirates. After a successful career as a steeplechase jockey, including winning the Grand National on one of the Queen’s horses, Pat was asked to help get Arabian racing started in the UAE. He played many roles and was master of all.
But most of all, we remember Pat as a big hearted, welcoming presence wherever he was. Always funny stories to tell and always making you feel at ease. Pat’s loss will be felt around the world. Rest In Peace Pat. Deepest condolences to all who loved you.
