The Arabian Jockey Club is excited to partner with the UAE President Cup Series and 1/ST to announce that the UAE President Cup will be run on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Gulfstream Park in Florida. This year’s American leg of the prestigious global series was originally scheduled to take place at the Preakness at Pimlico in Maryland. With its rescheduling, the UAE President Cup Races will now culminate the year of Arabian horse racing as the final race in America for 2024.

The purse of the Grade 1 race over 1 1/16 miles has been increased from $100,000 to $130,000, making it the richest race contested in the United States in several years.

The President Cup Series has put the spotlight on the Arabian breed on some of horse racing’s biggest stages around the world since 1994. In the United States, the race was first held at Keeneland in 2010 and has also taken place at the Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita, the Preakness at Pimlico, and at Churchill Downs. Gulfstream Park will mark the fifth track and fourth state for the race that has crowned numerous American champions.

The UAE President Cup is bringing Arabian horse racing full circle back to Florida, where the great racehorse Victoria’s Secret began her career before taking her talent to the United Arab Emirates under the name of Kahayla and is now honored as the namesake of Dubai’s top Arabian race, the Dubai Kahayla Classic.
